About Dr. VVS Chandrasekharam
Dr. VVS Chandrasekharam is a world-renowned Pediatric surgeon and urologist practicing in Akshara medical & research center, a part of Ankura hospital. An MBBS graduate from the Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad his passion for the field of pediatric surgeries took him to AIIMS, New Delhi where he super-specialized and was awarded M.Ch. in Pediatric surgery. Because of his zeal in his subject, he is also a gold medal holder.
With a huge experience of over 25 years in his field, Dr Chandrasekharam is the pioneer of pediatric urology, pediatric laparoscopy, and hypospadias surgery in India. He has done the maximum number of pediatric laparoscopic pyeloplasty in the world and the highest laparoscopic ureteric reimplantation in India.
Along with his clinical credits, he is also an active academician. He has authored a book on Hypospadias surgery, which is the first of its kind in the whole of Asia. Besides, he has over 50 scientific paper publications in renowned national and international medical journals.
