About Dr. Vasudev. V
Dr. Vasudev V is a highly skilled Pediatric Cardiologist with years of specialized experience in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to children with heart conditions. He specializes in diagnosing and treating heart problems in children, especially congenital (present from birth) and structural heart conditions.
He began his medical education by completing MBBS from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka, followed by an MD in Pediatrics from Berhampur University, and later earned his DM in Pediatric Cardiology from Amrita University, Kochi.
Dr. Vasudev has received advanced training in pediatric and fetal echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), cardiac MRI/CT, and post-surgical cardiac care. His key interests lie in heart imaging, non-surgical treatments, and managing complex cardiac issues in newborns and children. Whenever possible, he focuses on using minimally invasive methods to reduce physical stress and recovery time for pediatric patients.
Over the years, he has worked at well-known hospitals across India, including intensive care units (PICU/NICU), pediatric departments, and specialized cardiac centers. To improve access to care, Dr. Vasudev regularly conducts outpatient clinics in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Berhampur, and Southern Odisha, making it easier for families in underserved areas to consult a specialist.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Vasudev is active in research and education. He has presented several award-winning papers at national and international pediatric and cardiology conferences. Through his involvement in training programs and public awareness initiatives, he promotes early detection and timely treatment of heart conditions in children.
