About Dr. Srinivas Jakka

Dr. Srinivas Jakka, practices as a consultant pediatric pulmonology and allergy at Ankura hospitals, Hyderabad. A dynamic and passionate professional, he completed his MBBS and MD in Pediatrics from the University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh. Following this he worked for a period of 10 years at various hospitals in the NHS, UK and completed his specialist training (CCST) in paediatrics.  During this period, he underwent further training in the field of Pediatric pulmonology and allergy at the prestigious Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool, where he worked with several world-renowned paediatricians and pulmonologists. He also obtained his diploma in allergy and diploma in nutrition in the UK. He is a member of Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) and also a Fellow of Royals College of Pediatrics and Child Health, (FRCPCH) UK. Following his training, he continued to work in the UK for some time as a consultant before returning to India in 2012. He is a highly passionate clinician and is an expert in the management of children with complex pediatric conditions, respiratory diseases, and allergies. 

He is a highly active academician and has held the post of honorary lecturer at the University of Liverpool and NTR University of Health Sciences, AP. He has multiple publications in various national and international scientific pediatric journals. At Ankura, he is actively involved in the training of DNB candidates and is the flag bearer for conducting many scientific sessions for continuous learning. He is also the editor of “Medical insights”, a monthly health bulletin from Ankura hospitals. Above all, he never fails to be available for his little patients at any hour and establishes a great connection with them and their caretakers.
