About Dr Shiji Chalipat

Dr. Shiji Chalipat is Consultant Pediatric Neurologist at 9M Ankura hospital. An MBBS graduate from GMC -Thrissur, Kerala, she did her postgraduation (MD) in Pediatrics from BJMC , Pune. Later she pursued the Fellowship in Pediatric Neurology from esteemed Institute of South India, SAT hospital, Trivandrum and received gold medal at National Level. She is also trained in Pediatric Neuromuscular disorders at JR hospital, Oxford, UK. Dr Shiji is an experienced Pediatric Neurologist who is well versed in diagnosing and managing various pediatric neurological disorders like epilepsy, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, muscle and nerve disorders, autism, mental retardation, stroke, neuro-genetic disorders etc. She is an expert in interpreting various neurological investigations like EEG, video EEG, EMG, NCV, VEP and BERA. She also manages the children with cerebral palsy with botox treatment for spasticity. Dr Shiji is an enthusiastic academician as well who actively participates in various pediatric neurology academic forums and conferences. She also has multiple scientific research publications in various National and International Journals for her credit. An empathetic and dedicated clinician, she puts her patients at ease even during the most difficult hour.
