About Dr. Sandeep Karanam

Dr. Sandeep Karanam is a Consultant Pediatric Intensivist and Pediatrician with over 11 years of experience in pediatrics and more than 8 years of expertise in pediatric critical care. He has received advanced fellowship training in Pediatric Intensive Care and Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care from leading hospitals in London, UK.

Dr. Sandeep completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Anantapur, followed by an MD in Pediatrics and a DNB in Pediatrics. He also holds a Fellowship in Pediatric Intensive Care (FPIC) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. He has worked at prestigious institutions in India and the UK, including King’s College Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, and Great Ormond Street Hospital, gaining vast experience in managing critically ill children.

He has a special interest in managing complex pediatric and cardiac ICU cases, mechanical ventilation, ECMO, and evidence-based critical care. Dr. Sandeep is actively involved in research, audits, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving pediatric critical care outcomes.
