About Dr Rekha Bathala

Dr. Rekha Bathala is a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Endocrinologist with a strong academic background and hands-on clinical expertise. She completed her MD in Paediatrics from Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation Salem, in 2020, where she was awarded a Gold Medal for academic excellence.

Her keen interest in endocrinology made her pursue a fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, Bengaluru—one of India’s largest centers in the field.

Dr. Rekha has extensive experience in managing both outpatient and inpatient pediatric endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid and growth abnormalities, puberty-related issues, and childhood obesity. She is known for her evidence-based, empathetic approach and her ability to provide high-quality care to children across all backgrounds. Alongside her clinical practice, she actively contributes to continuing medical education, staff training, research initiatives, and wellness programs, reflecting her commitment to improving pediatric endocrine care in a holistic and sustainable way. She is currently a Consultant Pediatric & Adolescent Endocrinologist at Ankura Hospital, Tirupati.
