About Dr. Meena Kumari Medikonda
Dr. Medikonda Meena Kumari is an accomplished Consultant Psychiatrist with extensive experience in clinical psychiatry, community mental health, and academic training. She holds an MD in Psychiatry from Alluri Sitarama Raju Academy of Medical Sciences, Eluru, and completed her MBBS from Karnataka. With a career spanning multiple reputed hospitals including NIMHANS Dr. Meena has demonstrated clinical excellence in both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care.
Her expertise spans a wide range of psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, psychosis, schizophrenia, OCD, and somatic symptom disorders. She is highly skilled in emergency psychiatry, neuromodulation therapies (ECT, rTMS, TDCS), deaddiction, and counseling. Her additional training at NIMHANS includes specialized exposure in child psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, family therapy, and neuropsychiatric assessments.
She has trained over 200 healthcare professionals including MBBS doctors, AYUSH practitioners, and community health officers across India and has played a key role in state-level mental health training programs and CSR initiatives.
