About Dr Jyosil Kumar Bhol
Dr. Jyosil Kumar Bhol is an RCI-licensed Clinical Psychologist currently serving as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Ankura Hospital, Bhubaneswar. He holds an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from the Mental Health Institute (CoE), SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, and is presently pursuing his Ph.D. in Psychology at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneswar.
With a strong academic foundation, including a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Utkal University (Rank Holder), and extensive clinical training, Dr. Bhol has built over four years of diverse experience in mental health services. He has previously worked with prestigious institutions such as the State Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SIEP), Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), and Maa Neuropsychiatric Clinic.
Dr. Bhol’s expertise spans detailed clinical history taking, diagnostic clarification, psychometric and neuropsychological assessments (including IQ, personality, and projective tests like Rorschach), as well as behavioural and cognitive therapies. He is skilled in managing a wide range of psychological issues among children, adolescents, and adults, including substance use disorders, marital conflict, academic stress, and developmental challenges.
He is also actively involved in research and academic presentations, with published works focusing on substance abuse and child psychiatry. His research interests include emotional intelligence, motivation in learning, and the psychosocial aspects of mental illness. Dr. Bhol has presented papers at multiple state-level psychiatric conferences and workshops.
