About Dr Durga Prasad
Dr. Durga Prasad is a dedicated orthopaedic surgeon with a strong focus on Paediatric Orthopaedics, Hip Preservation Surgery, Deformity Correction, Polytrauma Management, and Open Injury Care. He began his medical journey with an M.B.B.S from Sri Venkateshwara Medical College, Tirupati, under Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, following which he went on to complete his DNB in Orthopaedics. After his DNB he pursed a National Board Fellowship (FNB) in Trauma Care Surgery at the renowned Ganga Medical Centre, Coimbatore. To further enhance his expertise, he completed a post-doctoral Fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedics (FIOP) and received focused training in Hip Preservation and Arthroscopy at the Amara Hip Preservation Centre. His comprehensive training enables him to confidently manage both acute and complex orthopaedic conditions.
Dr. Prasad’s journey is marked by a passion for continuous learning and surgical excellence. He gained international experience through the AO Trauma Fellowship at the Medical University of Innsbruck, Austria, and has further sharpened his skills through the Ganga Microsurgery Course, along with attending numerous national workshops, conferences, and advanced training programs. He has actively presented clinical papers and case studies at academic forums, highlighting his dedication to knowledge-sharing in the medical community. His accomplishments include receiving the Dr. Balu Sankaran Gold Medal in Orthopaedics (DNB) and a Silver Medal in Pathology during his MBBS.
