About Dr Debashish Nanda
Dr. Debashish Nanda is a dedicated Consultant Neonatologist & Pediatrician at Ankura Hospital, Bhubaneswar, with over 12 years of experience in managing critically ill, premature, and extremely low birth weight neonates. Known for his clinical expertise and compassionate approach, he is committed to delivering high-quality neonatal care while supporting families during critical times.
Dr. Nanda completed his MBBS from MKCG Medical College, Berhampur, followed by an MD in Pediatrics from S.C.B. Medical College, Cuttack. He earned his DM in Neonatology from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, where he was recognized as the Best Outgoing DM Resident in 2017. He currently serves as Professor of Neonatology at IMS and SUM Hospital, Bhubaneswar, having progressed from Assistant Professor since 2017. His earlier residencies at AIIMS Bhubaneswar and Lady Hardinge Medical College provided extensive experience in advanced neonatal intensive care.
He is a certified national faculty for multiple Ministry of Health initiatives, including FBNC, NBSU, NRP, and NSSK. Dr. Nanda’s academic contributions include over 25 peer-reviewed publications and active participation in national workshops and conferences on neonatal ventilation, nutrition, resuscitation, and simulation-based training.
