About Dr Bichitrananda Raut

Dr. Bichitrananda Raut is a distinguished Consultant Neonatologist & Pediatrician at Ankura Hospital, Bhubaneswar, with extensive experience in advanced neonatal care. He is highly regarded for his expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of newborn and pediatric conditions, performing complex neonatal procedures, and providing compassionate care to his little patients and their families.

Dr. Raut completed his MBBS from MKCG Medical College, Berhampur, Odisha, followed by an MD in Pediatrics from S.C.B. Medical College, Cuttack, and a DNB in Neonatology from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. His training and experience have enabled him to manage premature and critically ill neonates with confidence and precision.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Raut is an active researcher and academician. His studies include the use of near-infrared light sources for intravenous access in neonates and seizure profiles in infancy. He has contributed a chapter on “Computers in Neonatology” in the upcoming book Advances in Pediatrics and has presented papers and posters at national conferences. He is also involved in teaching DNB pediatrics students and neonatal nursing staff, sharing his expertise in neonatal procedures and patient care.
