About Dr Abhijit P. Benare

Dr. Abhijit P. Benare is a dedicated and ethical Consultant Pediatric Surgeon with over 16 years of experience. He has specialized training in pediatric laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgery, as well as expertise in robotic-assisted surgery.

Dr. Abhijit completed his MBBS, FCPS, and DNB (General Surgery) from KEM Hospital, Pune. He then pursued an MCh in Pediatric Surgery from NRS Medical College, Kolkata, where he was a Gold Medalist. He received observership training in pediatric thoracic surgery in Denmark through the European Society of Thoracic Surgery (ESTS). His interest in minimally invasive surgery led him to earn a Fellowship from the International College of Robotic Surgery (FICRS), New Delhi.

Dr. Abhijit has performed over 500 pediatric thoracic surgeries and more than 500 rigid bronchoscopies for foreign body removal. He has extensive experience in general pediatric and laparoscopic surgeries, having handled over 5000 cases. His expertise also extends to pediatric hepatobiliary, urology, and onco-surgeries.
